I have a dream ....again!
I have a dream......yes, again!
I can almost hear people within my inner circle say...Again? Really?
:) Love you guys!
But why not?
Isn't that what they say? I believe so ...firmly.
Today's world has far too much harsh reality for me, it truly does .....I find myself running more and more - away from politics, from economics, from media, from a lot of people that don't seem to be on the same plane as I am. And I am getting a bit tired of running.....is it me? Or is the world going crazy? Am I missing the plot?
Maybe I am, maybe not.....but I chose to escape to a world where there is more positivism than I see around me ....and if that world is in my dreams, so be it ...I will dream another dream!
My next dream is to be a volunteer for a humanitarian project, anywhere in the globe.....to go, live and work in an unknown territory, to help people I don't know live a little better, to team up with other like-minded souls, to be able to make a small difference, however small....but I want to do it.
I think we are sometimes too bogged down by our own problems, our own situations, our own luggage - so much so that we fail to see them in the right perspective. We blow them out of proportion, we give ourselves sometimes far too much importance than we should....its like we put on horse's blinkers.....
I believe that we all, at some point, in our lives, need to step out of our comfort zones and come face to face with "real" problems - matters of life and death and existence. Firstly, that will help us help others far more in need than ourselves and secondly, that will help us put into perspective what really matters and what does not....
So, I have a dream....and I will work towards it.
It may not be something I can do right away.....Life has its own twists and turns that one has to deal with....but I will dream again ....and set another goal....and make it happen.
You may say I am a dreamer, but thankfully I am not the only one......
Amen!
