Because you can be your best inspiration ......

Today, almost everyone carries a lot of personal luggage ....as I look around, I struggle to find people that have no struggle going on in their lives. These are tough times, indeed. 

In a world full of strife, it seems to be getting more and more difficult to find a safe harbor - a peaceful place where you can let your masks and guards down and breathe easy for a while, if only to energize and go back to your battles.

Life "sucks" as my 19 year old often reminds me!!!! Like she really knows it already - bless her :) 

But I am not one to give up on Life so easily - I just can't bring myself to do it. So I always look for ways to keep it going, with faith, prayer or delusion - whichever works best.

Today, when I was a bit down in the dumps, and chose to withdrew to myself - I turned to my older blog posts; I read carefully what I had written back then, reminiscing on what I had felt then, and what I have lived through in recent years..... and those who know me will know its been tumultuous. Yet, I survived. 

A lot of that is because of my Shepherd, the One who has never let go of my hand; I am truly blessed. My connects, my pillars of strength have pitched in. My "drops of blue" have kept me sane and going.

As I read through the posts, backwards, my mood lifted .....and I realized something else: sometimes, you just have to be your best inspiration. And of course you can! 

When you feel tired and the shoulders start to droop, stop moving. Move aside. Lie down for a bit. And look back, see how much ground you have covered and how much you have been through and come out scarred maybe but stronger for sure....Acknowledge the residence we all have within us .... And you will see the strength inch its way back to those shoulders ..... Allow yourself to pat yourself, even if no one else does it for you, and dust yourself as you rise again.... to resume the journey. 

Ofcourse you can do it!




When roadblocks ahead seem insurmountable, and you can't seem to find the energy to face the challenge again, look back at those many battles - big or small - that you won in the past. Acknowledge the qualities that saw you through then and lo! there are still with you , aren't they?
