Chocolates and Spas .....Alas, my soaring spirit!

This is for a few out there who are beginning to worry about me;  I <3 you all loads, but seriously, do not worry for me - while I may be restless, aching to soar high.....being very brave, I admit that I still have a few more ties to loosen down here....before you see the last of me as I ride off into the setting sun:)

This morning was an important part of my life nowadays - my favorite ME Time!!! Something I have always made sure is built well into my schedule.... time to "pamper" myself physically or mentally.

I think its extremely important. I think we all like to be pampered in some way or the other, right? Ofcourse, men walk away with the cake here - but yes, we women need it too, and possibly deserve it more :) ( High - five to the feminist me! )

I think God had a fair idea that things would not be very smooth for us women down here - and that's why he created these 2 things that give women like me,so much sheer, unconditional joy :

  • Chocolates
  • Spas
Yes, I completely admit I am a complete sucker for both!!!

So much for my soaring spirit ready to leave behind the shackles of this earth and all things material .....I guess I am not there quite as yet, and these 2 have a role to play there!!!

Recently, I discovered Cadbury's Silk bars while in India and though I was there for a family crisis, I definitely saw the light at the end of the tunnel, once, twice, actually quite a few times courtesy these bars :) Sheer bliss! That's why when Life throws me lemons, I counter-attack with my brown bar of happiness....close my eyes as I feel it melt in my mouth ..and we are almost equal!! Sach mein, kuchh khaas hein.....

Then again, there are those days (as this afternoon!) that I chose to forget it all, pretend I am Queen Cleopatra and allow myself to be physically pampered by the wonderful therapists (bless them all!) at the spas I frequent. They spoil your senses and transform you to quite another world within a couple of hours....and when you return, there is definitely a brighter tinge to Life outside.

As you may have guessed, I am a firm believer that one should allow oneself to be pampered once in a while - as they say, if you don't love yourself, how do you expect others to? What pleases your mind and senses may vary vastly - that is not important. What is - is that you do allow yourself these moments of indulgence , with absolutely no sense of shame or guilt. Surely you deserve it!

So now, along with my prescribed daily dose of fun, please do treat yourself - once in a while, only - to whatever pleases your mind and body. You owe it to yourself!

XOXO
